Sale $99 Ando Hiroshige Japanese Woodblock Print Sudden Shower at Ohashi Bridge For Sale

This is an Ando Hiroshige woodblock print “Sudden Shower at Ohashi Bridge” from his series “100 views of Edo”. It is matted and framed under glass in a wood frame painted black, framing by Artist’s Supply Warehouse in Santa Ana, Ca. The framers sticker on the back has phone numbers without area codes, 3 digit area codes began in 1947. With that in mind this print could be, at the very least, about 77 years old. It has not been examined outside of frame to keep the integrity of the framing. The frame measures 18” x 13” and the visible print measures 13” x 8-1/4”.

This nice piece was found in an estate collection clean and stored in a cool, dry location. The print has no visible discoloration however upon close examination through the glass the print is slightly wavy and I did find a small crack in the print just about in the center of the river and a small dark spot near the upper right corner (see last two photos). The frame is in very nice condition without chips or cracks.
