Vintage Toonerville Trolley Coin Operated Kiddie Ride:
$795.00

This Toonerville Trolley Ride was manufactured back in 1957, by Bally Manufacturing, then located in Chicago. Illinois. (See attached article from the The Billboard, dated May 20, 1957)This desirable, seldom seen, vintage ride was created from the popular Fontaine Fox cartoon comic strip, Toonerville Folks which ran from 1908 to 1955. Central to the strip was the rickety little trolley called the Toonerville Trolley that met all of the trains, driven in a frenzy by the grizzly old Skipper to meet each commuter train as it arrived in town. The Trolley Ride shakes from side to side, rattles, and rocks and rolls on the short stationery track that the Trolley is mounted on. The ride is designed to seat one or two young riders on the motorman\'s seat post and for the rider(s) to then enjoy the experience of their rocky Trolley Ride. Simple fun and enjoyment. The Trolley Ride also features a flashing front headlamp and speed control levers for the rider(s) to operate. The ride occupies only a small amount of floor space, measuring 2 feet by 3 feet, making it easy to display. The attached pictures tell the story on this awesome, vintage, Toonerville Trolley Ride. This unique ride is a rare survivor and is offered in \"as-found\" used condition... The ride has bumps and bruises, scrapes and scratches that are consistent with its approximate 65 years of age and having provided hours of enjoyment to many young Trolley riders over those years. At some point during its life, the Trolley was repainted from its original bright yellow color and the original graphics were painted over. The overall condition of the ride appears to be in very good original, used condition. This Toonerville Trolley Ride has been kept in storage for many years and it is NOT currently working. The ride is being offered as shown in the attached pictures, in \"as-is\" condition. This ride may be best suited for the ride collector who wants to restore this rare, vintage Toonerville Trolley Ride back to its original charm and cuteness. Please review all of the images carefully and send a message if you have any questions. This Toonerville Trolley is available for inspection at Ride Restorations in Chadwick, Illinois. The ride is very well built and features all metal construction and measures approximately; 70\" height X 24\" width X 36\" length.Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. If you prefer local pick-up in Chadwick, Illinois, assistance loading the Trolley can be provided.Attached for reference only are images related to the Toonerville Trolley\'s interesting historical past, including an original Bally Manufacturing sales brochure featuring the Toonerville Trolley Ride as it appeared new, back in 1957.
