Notes:
Noon Mess in Camp Otis in Maplewood Park also known as Seneca Park West at Rochester, New York assembled in June of 1900 to accommodate the large number of veterans who came to attend General Otis Day.  Major General Elwell S. Otis conducted the US Army during the Battle of Manilla in the Spanish American War. 15th Infantry, U.S.A. and Battery M, 7th Artillery, U.S.A., Seneca Park, West, June 12-18, 1900. 

Elwell Stephen Otis (March 25, 1838 – October 21, 1909) was a United States Army general who served in the American Civil War, Indian Wars, the Philippines late in the Spanish–American War and during the Philippine–American War.

Otis was born in Frederick, Maryland on March 25, 1838. He attended the University of Rochester, where he was a member of the Iota chapter of St. Anthony Hall aka the Fraternity of Delta Psi. He graduated from Harvard Law School in 1860 and was practicing law during the first year of the Civil War. (ref. wikipedia)

Info:
Stereoscopy or Stereoviews have two nearly identical images mounted side by side and were taken by a Stereo Camera. When looked at through a stereo viewer they give a three-dimensional image. Most popular from 1850’s to 1930’s and they usually measure about 3 ½" by 7" (please see images).

This SV card is part of a very large collection (over 5000) I will be selling on over the next 6-8 months.
