1800s Tintype Photo Album Bailey Family 1939 California Prayer Book Clergy Rare For Sale

Small family archive sold as found, including a late 1800s tintype photo album with multiple mounted tintypes and a 1939 pocket book titled Assembly Prayers from the California Legislature, Fifty-Third Session. The prayer book is named to Earnest Amos Bailey on the cover and includes handwritten family notes identifying Rev. Raymond Lull Bailey, Rev. A. M. Bailey / Ambrose Bailey, and other Bailey family connections.Also included are loose newspaper portrait clippings, including Rev. A. M. Bailey / Rev. J. M. Oscar Genest and Mrs. Beatrice Hill Redding.The tintype album contains a group of studio portraits, including men, women, children, a baby, a young girl in sailor-style dress, and other family members. The album itself has a color illustrated cover of a woman and decorative interior mounts. Photos appear to all be from the same family group and are being sold together exactly as found. The prayer book adds later family genealogy context, connecting the archive to the Bailey family and California / Baptist church history.Condition varies throughout.
