Sandra Dee. Typed letter signed, 5x8, April 9, 1958, to a fan. In part, "Dear Mildred. Thank you so much for your nice letter. It was so nice to hear from you. My two new pictures, A Stranger in my Arms (formerly Ride the Tiger), and Wonderful Tears, will be released very soon. I will leave for Paris, France, in a short time to film another picture called Reluctant, and I can't wait to see all the beautiful cities of Europe.... Gratefully, Sandra Dee." Written when Dee was only sixteen years old.
Sandra Dee. (1942-2005). American teen actress. She began her career as a child model, working first in commercials and then in film in her teenage years. She is best known for her portrayal of ingenues. She is best known for her performances in Gidget, which made her a household name. By the late 1960s, her career began to decline, and a highly publicized marriage to Bobby Darin ended in divorce.
