This linen-era Curt Teich postcard depicts a vivid scene of Pueblo de Taos, a Native American community located in Taos County, New Mexico. The image shows two figures in traditional dress walking toward the iconic multi-story adobe buildings of the Taos Pueblo, nestled along the Rio Pueblo de Taos. The village, one of the oldest continuously inhabited communities in the United States, consists of thick-walled communal structures built from adobe—a mix of earth, water, and straw.
