Rare Hilario Mendívil 3 Long Necked Magi Peruvian Cuzco Folk Art For Sale

We offer for sale a very rare set of three figurines representing the three Magi by the noted Peruvian folk artist HilarioMendívil (1927-1977). We purchased this set in 1977 in Peru shortly after his death. His works are characterized by religious themes, such as the three wisemen, depicted with elongated necks and a serene countenance. Each figurine stands approximately 21 inches tall.
Mendívil died at a relatively young age. His former home and workshop in Cuzco now house a museum dedicated to his works and those of hisdescendants.
